Dog-Friendly Place
No secret here—we love our dogs. Several of us bring our best friends to work with us to keep tail-wagging a part of every work day. That being the case, it's important for anyone considering working at PNTA to be comfortable in a dog-friendly work environment. We hope that describes you.

Chief Operating Officer

We are now looking for a key member to join our executive team. We are carefully seeking the right person to join us as COO, reporting to and working closely with the President, leading as well as managing.

Our strong preference is for someone deeply experienced in specifying theatrical and architectural products, notably lighting systems and related products.  However since we also provide audio, drapery, scenic design products and services, rentals and event production services, the position will have ample opportunity to learn other parts of our business while also managing the retail side.

If you have the appropriate experience and are seeking an opportunity to provide day-to-day leadership, we would like to talk to you. We are seeking a high-energy person interested in business building. This person will want to be a key part of effectively serving our customers, building business loyalty, profitability and business value for all of our employees, notably including you!  This person will desire, in short order, to be the senior on-site executive driving business success with a declining requirement for day-to-day direction.

If you are ready to build a business that you can be one of the owners of and you want to be the person that will help us effectively extend our reputation, please contact us.

Please send resume to careers@pnta.com

Attention: Richard Carlson.

Interviews will begin immediately.

Purchaser

We are seeking a person with 3 to 5+ years purchasing experience who wants to contribute to our company in a broadly responsible, profit contributing role.  While experience in buying performance venue, architectural lighting or sound equipment is a plus, we are most interested in someone who wants to make a significant contribution, providing their fellow owners with increasing benefits by improving operations and profitability in the short term and, increasingly, as we grow.  This person will enjoy hands-on purchasing, shipping and receiving activity.  The successful candidate will be fairly compensated in salary, with a path to equity for making that happen!

Retail Store Sales

PNTA operates the only real go-to retail store in the Northwest for theatrical and presentation equipment, supplies, and know-how.  Our store products range from professional make-up and stage and scenic design, to rigging products, complex lighting, audio, consumables and parts.  We are known for helping our customers buy the right products for their needs.   Most of our customers are located in the Pacific Northwest, but we serve clients located throughout the U.S. and even outside the U.S.  Our customers are varied, including the largest theatrical performance venues to the small civic theatre or non-theatre groups utilizing borrowed spaces, from the largest universities to elementary schools or houses of worship, from cruise ships to clubs.  We see our retail store (both the brick and mortar and online versions) as a significant product and knowledge-of-use training ground and we have a history of promoting both in the store and from the store into other departments.

If you have appropriate knowledge and experience and enjoy sales, helping provide retail customers standing in front of you or on the phone with excellent service, we would like to talk to you.  We need skilled, friendly staff who like to work with the public in an environment that can range up to having more customers in the store than we can handle at once without calling on other departments for help.   The job does entail some physical demands, including unfettered movement between the store and warehouse and lifting up to 65 pounds on occasion.

We will be moving before October 1st into a larger store operation, so we are looking for the right people to help us build our business to a higher level.  The position will be hourly and usually starts in the $10 to $12 range depending on experience.  PNTA is an employee-owned company so we are also planning to award stock options to full-time employees.  Interested?
